Dear Rainbow Family!

This year the Russian Rainbow Gathering will take place in Altai, one
of the most magical places on the planet, – sacred mountains between
Siberia and Mongolia. The vast territory of Altai with its magnificent
mountain tops and lakes of pure water is still a home to ancient
tribes of hunters practicing pagan religion and shamanism. Their
unusual rituals and strange fairy tales are full of infinite respect
for Nature and the Altai’s land that considered as a primordial
creative source. Wild animals in local legends, humbly obey the
ancient order of forest life; and "Altai’s Master" is invisibly
watching every man who walks this land and strictly judging human deeds.

The place of the Gathering will be on the path of the Total Solar
Eclipse August 1, 2008.

Brothers and sisters from all across the planet are heartily invited
to join this Gathering, to share and exchange knowledge, love and energy.

The Gathering has no organization, no leaders and no regulations.
Rainbow pursues the ideals of peace, reconciliation, common
consciousness, and connection with nature. Tradition keeps gathering
territory free of centralized administration, economic relations,
weapons, combustion engines, electrical appliances, drugs and alcohol.
The place is located on 1600m height, 120 km away from Gornoaltaysk,
which is reachable by train or airplane from Moscow and other cities.
Day temperature rate between 15-30° C, nights can be very cold, till
-2° C.

Important Note:
There are some marihuana fields in the area, please be aware that all
of them are someone’s property! (Notwithstanding the fact that
marijuana is not legalized in the country). It is strongly recommended
to keep away from these places, otherwise the owners might consider
you as a thieves and use guns against you.

Seed camp starts in June 2008
Gathering starts July 14 and officially close August 7.
Full moon is July 18
